Information regarding scheduled fluvial stream geomorphic assessments and river corridor planning projects for 2008-2009 are provided as a guide.

Currently, $223,642.00 in grants are funding six different Restoration and Education Projects and seven different geomorphic assessments.

District to develop and distribute educational materials specific to the Whetstone Brook Floodplain (Booklet, slideshow and interactive tabletop Model)

Two stream bank buffer plantings

Crosby Brook Watershed Head-cut Restoration Project
Assist in the stabilization of the head-cut on Crosby Brook

Skidder Bridge Rental Program
District to obtain all building materials for one skidder bridge and all bridge hardware /metal fabrication costs of second bridge and construct one bridge.
Completion Date – March 2009

Whetstone Brook Corridor Protection Project
District will hire a professional property appraiser to determine the appropriate price of two parcels along the Whetstone Brook near the intersection of Route 9 and Sunset Lake Road that are currently for sale.
